As of October 22nd, 2004:
The Best Western only has Thursday, November 4 available - the weekend is booked. Please see below for more lodging options. You could always try to make a reservation at the last minute, however the rate would be $119 a night for Friday and Saturday. If you want to book for Thursday, MAKE SURE THAT YOU TELL THEM THAT KJ APPROVED THE RATE of $69 for Thursday night!

As of October 5th, 2004:
We've heard from some people who tried to book rooms at the Best Western. It seems that the people at Best Western were unsure about the rates etc. MAKE SURE THAT YOU TELL THEM THAT KJ APPROVED THE RATE. KJ said that he could offer the rate of $69 for Thursday night and $99 for Friday or Saturday night.

As of September 11, 2004:
The most affordable place within walking distance to downtown is the Best Western. We cannot block any rooms because THEY DON’T HAVE MANY ROOMS LEFT! The manager KJ said that he could offer the rate of $69 for Thursday night and $99 for Friday or Saturday night. He requested that people call and make a reservation AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! You must speak with either him or Bonnie.

KJ is available Saturday and Sundays, between 7:00am and 3:00pm. Bonnie is available Tuesday - Saturday from 9:00am - 3:00pm! When calling, state that a special rate was given to our group (Popfest, you can use my name, Christine) and that KJ approved the rate. If you need to cancel at any point, you must do so within 24 hours of your reservation day.

If you have a car, there are lots of hotels in Hadley, MA, which is about 15 minutes northeast of downtown. They are on Route 9 / Russell Street. The lower the number, the closer to Northampton!
